How to set up a consultation

Please send me a brief message explaining the nature of your animal's problem and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I respond to your inquires and appointment bookings in order of emergency and ongoing treatments.

Please be aware that the email address is to set up appointments and that I won't answer to consultations through this route. 

What to expect from a consultation

My initial holistic consultation is one hour to one hour and a half long. It depends on the case and on you. I first have to do a thorough assessment, especially when there is a combination of behavioural and physical symptoms. Once I make a diagnosis, I will discuss a therapy protocol, integrating all aspects, which we will implement gradually if it is a complex case.

I will send a written report in the next two days following the consultation with detailed instructions for the treatment. I usually do a recheck in 4 weeks, unless needed earlier. Rechecks are usually 20 to 30 mins. But again, every case is unique.

During our first meeting I will assess the  possible need for any conventional veterinary medicine testing, diagnostics and treatments if necessary and will refer you to your conventional veterinarian for these services. I am an integrative medicine doctor, so I don’t discard conventional diagnosis and treatment through lab tests and medications when necessary. Many current conventional veterinarians see the value of alternative healing practices and are open to working with an integrative approach to provide the best care for your animal companion. f you are contacting me from Newfoundland, many local clinics and colleagues are familiar with my holistic practice over the years and are very happy to work together in an integrated manner.

My fees depend on the length of the appointment:

$175/ 1 hr regular first holistic consultation $225/ 1 1/2 hr extended first holistic cons.

$100/ 1/2 hr recheck consult

$80/ 20 min short recheck consult

Prices can be adapted to your country's holisitic veterinarian services standard fees, and I offer discounted rates for students, group consultations and low income families and retirees. I also offer multiple pet consultations.

Payment is done through e-transfer to this email (dr.laura.dominguez@gmail.com), bizum (34) 644940767, or bank transfer (I will provide banking info), one day before the appointment time. If the appointment needs to be re-scheduled and you notify me, I can usually fit you in within the week. If you can’t show up at the appointment because of an EMERGENCY and are not able to notify me, I will rebook you no problem as soon as I can, and you won’t loose the pre-paid fee.
